I have a 02 1.2 and was debating on removing the door/quarter mouldings or colour coding them. Does any1 know if theres any holes in the door or clips holding the mouldings on as ive checked with TPS and they pretty sure its adhesive held on but unsure if any guide lugs line up the mouldings to the panel?

to save you bothering though, yes adhesive held, and yes holes in the door and pegs on the side strips to line up.

if you're going to remove them you'll need to fill and smooth. if you're going to paint them, you'll need a new set.

dont think anyone's managed to get them off in any condition suitable to put back on, not in the 3 years i've been reading this forum anyway, but good luck!

manager left this afternoon for a course so phoned TPS + had moulding for both sides 2x quarter mouldings and 2x door mouldings £18.39 so waiting for them to get primed smooth then painted, for the sake of £20 id rather have new ones painted then fit them, than be extra careful removing the old ones because they gotta be refitted ,doesnt help that im heavy handed and have little patience! :D
