someone on ebay is selling the ibiza cupra tdi intake, both parts (adaptor and hose) for £50 inc postage,

however they had it on their polo tdi 9N? i have the pd130 but am looking to get the pd160 intake, was hoping to check that this is the same part...

he says it is genuine stealers part so can only assume it has to be the pd160 intake...want to double check before i commit to paying....

i think new they are about 75 quid, so could save myself a little bit

I checked out ebay - he defo states it's a cupra intake.

Send him a question via ebay to ask for the part number so you can check??

i did ask him but he doesnt know it....hmmmmm

he does clealry state its is the cupra tdi intake, both adaptor and hose...surely there is only one of these? especially as it is a genuine seat part?

just dont wanna buy it and realise it doesnt fit....from looking at pictures of the pd160...it does look like it

this is what the advert says

Air intake pipe from a seat ibiza tdi cupra,

This is an excellent upgrade for any vw polo tdi sport or GT with 100 or 130 hp diesel engine.

Its a straight replacement for the existng part and allows more air to flow into the air box, perfect with a performance air filter.

This came off my Polo GT, after it was written off.

The part is made by seat so not a cheap copy. They are about £60 from the main dealers.

Very easy to fit

any ideas? im thinking it is the pd160

£50 is a bit cheaper than the dealers but then again the dealers will sell you a brand new one

Ebay these days is getting a bit silly with some things, I remember when second hand stuff was half the price of a new one.

I reckon you should go in a £30 and then barter up to £40

Depending on when the seller bought it new he may have paid less than £50 for it. The price of this part has crept up a lot. I didn't pay £50 for mine new.

Mine will go on ebay when I decide to PX and get either a MK5 FR/Cupra and if the mk5 looks a bit naff, a MK2 leon FR. So it will be a year or more yet as I'm not going down the new route again.

ok cool, cheers for ur advice! spoke to stealers and with 10% discount  its still £70 quid.

he has it on the car for approx 4000 miles so not much time on it, could potentially save £50 or may risk it and wait with for the auction to run its course, but saw one last week get bid up to almost £70!

i may try and barter him down, but still has 2 days left and its up to 14 quid with 7 quid postage....4 bids...

As stated above the PD160 intake fits the Polo,Fabia and Ibiza

so what your looking at will definetly fit your car

£50 is about the going rate for the part 2nd hand but see if you can get it lower

Does it actually make that much difference??? Looking at the intercooler pipe work, it would probably be more beneficial replacing that with some slightly bigger pipe work first, and I don't like the way it all clips together either. I'm sure it must be prone to boost leakage.

the guy will only take 50, think the auction will sell it for more, so gonna take the hit!

have heard good things about the intake especially combined with the green cotton filter

I've seen the same one, I think it was monday. I asked him what he would take for a buy it now and he said £40. I said O.K. and have not heard from him since. I think he's seeing what it goes up to at auction, and if it's not enough he'll end auction early and see what we'll give him privately.
