some may say lala land....
get details of 1st owner and have a polite chat with them and see what they felt and if they can remember mileage and if any old receipts etc lying about
this can be on the v5 so dealer should be able to offer, especially if they have nothing to hide and will help you out

Its nothing to worry about mate. MOT mileage entries are notoriously inaccurate, it happens all the time. I'm sure they wouldn't even attempt to sting you twice. You have the full backing of the members of the largest SEAT enthusiasts forum in the world, don't think for a minute that they haven't read this thread.

Quick question then...What gators/knobs fit the mk1 leon ?

Would either of these fit ? (im all for having a nice interior)

Prefer the first one i think ?

The phillips silvervision bulbs have been ordered too, got some free phillips sidelight bulbs n all, wont be the brightest but will look better than whats in there. Is it a big job to swap the sidelight bulbs and front/rear indicator bulbs ?

Also is everybody running standard plates ? Or do they go for the German type ones ? dont want to draw attention from the fuzz but they defo need replacing, the back ones a bit..shagged (hopefully it just gets an advisory or they just pass it on the MOT tomorrow).

Is that 1st knob from a MkII K1?
I think they fit a MkI though but not 100% mate.

As said MOT errors can occur so don't worry till you've checked it out at least!

:)

Yeah k1, hopefully somebody could shed some light on this for us whether or not it would fit.
It says in the ebay add " Can be fitted to earlier versions of the Leon and also Ibiza and Toledo "

this interior on here is local to me too (about 15min away)

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=205683

Worth it ?
It looks alot nicer than whats in there atm.

iv seen a thread with one of these gearknobs fitted and it looked [B)] [B)] http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-shift-gear-knob-gaiter-illuminated_W0QQitemZ370147391052QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item370147391052&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

as for german plates dont bother as you WILL get pulled you can get uk legal pressed plates from dubmeister but you will have to find a local distributer or send your v5 away etc

Thought so about the german plates, and that gear knob looks...camper than a row of tents.

 sorry!!! I'm sure they're all pretty much a universal fit but other than that bit of useless information I can't help ya!

Interior looks good - it's the same as my standard 225 interior if that helps mate! :)

That illuminated one looks [B)] in the LEON for sure!

Saw this KNOB (no not the pri*k that made your missus cry!) in my local SEAT dealer - it's for a MkI too. Pic is awful but looks better in the flesh - though still not to my taste but some may like it. :)

sorry link is shite, click on Leon 2000>2005 then interior styling then gear knobs then look at the MOMO red one!

:)

EDIT: typo!

Just a direct fit then i take it ? Says no arm rests there either, hmmm

Black on Silver looks AWESOME on ANY car in my opinion! Go for it!...this debacle could turn out to be a blessing in disguise hey! ;)

Hopefully yeah, would of loved a 150 but more than happy to settle for a 130.

well i personally think if you get the right one it looks very close to the standard one and looks [B)] in the dark (quote from mds)

Doesnt look too bad like that, something else to go wrong tho :p

Just had a read throuhg the whole thread and glad you've finally come to some sort of arrangement. Fingers crossed all is well when the 130 turns up. As for number plates, keep it as legal looking as possible, they're having a right crackdown in the NW on them. The did me for £30 a few weeks ago because the spacing wasn't right on my other car. Didnt spell anything, just larger than usuall gaps between the last 3 letters!
