The AA guy said the fuel filter has gone "porous" and needs replaced.
That's a fking service item and I was told that the car would have a service before being sold.
Apparently a leaking hose is causing the engine management light to appear (diagnostic computer is reading too lean fuel mixture).
I don't know why they couldn't have found this the first time.
Anyway, waiting for the part to arrive and going down for a third time to get it fixed (I hope).
I'm getting worried though that if they don't manage to fix it by the end of the month's warranty they will just refuse to have any more dealings with me about the car.
Got the hose fitted, but the engine management light's back on.
I'm so frustrated wasting time and petrol money (£15 per trip) to take it back.
It's been back 3 times and it's still not fixed. Do I have any right to take it to SEAT and ask them to bill the garage? How much are SEAT likely to charge to diagnose the problem?
Boot solenoid is also fked.
Not fit for purpose ? Sure you could get them under some form of legislation, how long has it been since you bought it now ?
