Average mpg 1.8 20v T?

hello was just wondering wot mpg people are averaging iv got a leon 1.8 20v turbo an im only gettin bout 20 if im luckly just normal round town driving thats wihtout driving fast or anything, is that about right??

i have a lcr and i get about 27mpg just normal driving

yeah 27 here too. Something not right there! maybe the cold weather is a contributing factor?? when was it serviced?? probably could benefit from it

when i drive mine it normaly gets 25

had it over 6 months now and lucky if iv done 500 miles

should really sell it.....i just dont use it

maybe, do you think changing the air filter, oil n filter, fuel filter and spark plugs would help? or should i take it back to the garage and see wot they say?

town driving is the killer, 20 is bout right for short town journeys, doesnt really give the mpg calculator time to work out an average

take it for a run you should be getting 28-32 on a run, youll then tell if you have a problem

yeah more cold air, more fuelling, more fuel burned= less mpg

there isnt anything wrong, when you think, 1 its a computer telling you the mpg, and lets face it a pants one 2. the cold will make mpg worse 3. town driving, low gears...

how hard do you drive the car, lead foot = fuel drinking

youll need a decent run though, 30-40 miles for the computer to work the average mpg out

I average 28-29 mpg and its pretty much constant ... thats with giving it a few beans occasionally to clear the cob webs out

haha, dont really have a lead foot lol, all iv modified so far is the recirculting valve put a forge one on,

yeah cold air does reduce intake temp which improves performance, hence why fmic are popular....


forge dv wont make a jot of difference to fuelling.

as said, dont worry bout it, put some decent fuel in, thatll give you 30-40 miles per tank more and itll drive better.... go enjoy

Drops to about 27-28mpg in cross town driving in the winter, 30 to 32 in the summer. The first 10 minutes of driving in these sub zero temps kills the mpg esp if you just do short trips.

Can get up to about 37mpg on M6, M42 with the 50 mph limit in place. Falls a bit quick when I'm out of the restriction though

Reset the 2nd trip when you fill it up to see how it is over a whole tank.
