ever since this sudden snap of freezing temps and snow has come about my car has taken a bit of a beating! so far;

won't start first thing (see "cold start problem" thread)
passenger door handle sticks
rear washer jet blocked up
no reverse lights despite new bulbs and good fuses
no number plate lights despite new bulbs/fuses
a worrying patch of rust at the base of the A pillars!

has anybody elses car developed a disliking to winter?

I think my car needs some love! i've decided that once i've done the trackday i'm booked in for on the 21st of feb I'm going to tidy the old girl up by;

sorting above problems
all interior back in and valeted
refurb the alloys
replace missing exterior trim (I need the reflector panel and fog light surrounds if anybody has them)
fit a decent stereo
get the ABS working
new tyres all round
cleaned and polished a lot more than I have been doing! my old 8v was never dirty, i've let my standards drop!:ban:

Every beeza ive had has given me agro with the doors when weve had a cold night. Bit of warm water sorts mine out.

I am using so much washer water at the moment and not had any blocking problems but they wont work till the cars has warmed up.....take it that the water gets frozen.

apart from that and being always dirty mine is fine. Its difficult to keep it clean at the moment becuase if i wash my car the water used will freeze and turn my road into a ice ring.

Sure the rear washer problem isnt the pipe popped out of the little 'L' plastic/rubber adapter.

I went to use mine the other day and nothing came out, thought it was blocked but looked in the boot and the pipe has popped out.

That reminds me to I have to fix that. Too cold to do it now though.

Not a bad idea really as SEAT managed to design one of the ugliest wipers ever for the mk2 and it's so small it's not exactly useful.

just a quick one regards to all the bad weather breaking cars and stuff can anyone recommend any good tyres with good traction for 18s as with the remap on my seat cupra its bad enough trying to get traction in the dry but with the ice i can barely pull off when the lights are on green and by the time im moving the lights have turned red again and everyone behind me are giving me the evils.:(
