Hi Just joined and was after some advice please..

Right, I have a seat leon cupra and car not running right (limp home mode) Plugged in VAG-COM and found i had a 17705 error(Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve ). I did not clear error as i have just bought car and was returning it to Garage where i bought it.. They said they would need to send the vehicle to SEAT main dealer to sort problem if there was one!!! Low and behold got the car back and was told SEAT said there was no problem will the car!!
Plugged VAG-Com back into car and no faults found....

Question ...... Can it be possible for the fault stored in the ECU just to go away without being cleared?
The vehicle was only driven about three miles after i found fault...

thanks for your help

Not usually. There are some faults that will set and clear on their own but not many. My guess is that the SEAT dealer cleared the codes and returned the car after clearing them. You would have to be more specific to get a better answer.

Thanks for your input guys.
When I got the car it had the engine management light on, on reading the fault codes it was found that three faults were stored, two of the faults indicated to a faulty lambda sensor and the third fault was the 17705 (Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve). A new lambda sensor was fitted by the garage that I bought the car from and all fault codes were cleared.
I was told by the garage that the 17705 fault might be an old fault and to take the car away and see if it came back.
Drove car, it went into limp home mode but no engine management light came on, the codes were read by a friend and the fault 17705 (Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve) was present, phoned garage and was told that they would need to send car to SEAT.
Garage came and collected car, took it to SEAT, car was returned and we were told that SEAT could not find any faults stored and car was fine and that car must have picked up a glitch due to being driven hard… (Neither myself nor my wife have driven the car hard)
Car still not right and garage now saying that if SEAT can’t find fault then there is nothing they can do.
That is why I was asking if there was anyway that the fault could just vanish from being there when the car left my house to not being there at SEAT when error code was not cleared by my friend.
I think garage is at it but just needed to make sure that this is the case. [:@]
