Well, the Ibiza is al back together (although not painted yet) and off for its Vehicle Identity Check this afternoon at 1400.
Assuming it passes (and it should because I didn't use any stolen parts to repair it and it's not a ringer AFAIK:cartman:) I can tax it and get it back on the road!!!

You repaired that quickly! I guess there wasn't any nasty hidden damage then?

I got nervous when I took one of my old cars for a VIC, don't know why as I knew eveything was kosher! I was expecting to be there for a hour or two, but it was done in about 20 mins

Yeah, took 12 minutes...and I was nervous too!

The repairs took me two days - one to strip it down and find out what was damaged, and another to bolt it all back together.
The most expensive bits were the fan control module (£95) and the bumper (£98)

:funk:

so did it pass?

Yup - took 12 minutes

£98 for a bumper how you get one that cheap?!

some garage on ebay bought a job lot of "cosmetically damaged" sport bumpers off a dealer up north somewhere and were selling them at about £98 inc VAT and postage.
Mine was a real bonus as it's the right colour and came with all the grilles in place too - all had to do was fit my foglights into it (fortunately they weren't broken) and fit it!!;)
