where can i pick one of these up from and will i gat any gains from it at all? i.e bigger bhp or holding peak bhp for longer?

You can get cast ones from Kinetic, ATP and THS to name but a few. These however are largely prone to cracking.

JBS do a tubular collected design but it's had issues with blowing gaskets so they're also currently working on a cast design, which you can read about in their sub forum.

The manifold is a big restriction on the Ibizas so there are definitely gains to be had, assuming you're running all supporting modifications to help it breath better (exhaust, DP, TIP etc etc).

mate kind of sounds like you need to focus slightly more on the more 'basic' modds before you plan these manifold changes.

DP is downpipe. This is something I definitely recommend you to change as the standard one is terribly restrictive. Apparently you bought a 3" catback (which in my opinion is too big but thats just what I think) but this upgrade is not really doing any good, as the airflow is still restricted from the start (where turbo meets downpipe)

then TIP is turbo intake pipe. This is the black rubber hose just right of the turbo, which holds your DV (dump valve).

Search these things and upgrade them well before you start thinking about your manifold.

Looks as though he has a turbo back exhaust Reuvers so he's all ok from the DP point of view but i agree look into sort a upgraded TIP if you havn't got one already. Then wait for a manifold to pop up for sale on the forum. I have just bought one for a very good price.

its a turbo back mate includes the downpipe. its JJ_arosa's old cupra. KO3's with front mount etc.

would you advise on a samco hose kit as that would have everything wouldnt it?

Reuvers what are you talking about? Is it not obvious he is talking about exhaust mani as you dont bolt your turbo to your intake mani so it wouldnt be a custom mani for it. He said in the post above he has a turbo back exhaust so your DP thing is totally out the window aswell.

If you have a decent 3inch turbo back exhaust and uprated filter then you need a Turbo Intake Pipe (TIP) from Forge, an uprated intercooler and uprated dv as the plastic one is a known weak spot. Then k03s and whatever uprated exhaust mani you want and a remap to suit, assuming you do not already have one.

Depending on which fmic you have the samco hose kit is a waste of time as you cant fit it along with some fmic kits, PA and forge.

the known mads are at the minute:

3" turbo Back,
Jetex filter relocated to wing,
Front mount intercooler,
The various bypasses you do on these,
Ko3s
Stage 2 remap

beleived to be running between 230-240bhp

so you would advise on taking some ID measurements on my intercooler piping and then jump on EBAY and try and find some the right size? if i need reducers then i should be able to get them on there.

Have to admit I read the turbo back wrong and thought it was a catback...my appologies.

But to be fair he didn't post his mods.

Now that you did, would he really be seeing a lot of gains from upgrading?
I read quite some threads on here where manifolds cracked and some even caused serious damage to the turbo.

When I first started with my cupra I also saw the manifolds on ebay for less than 100 dollars, but seriously doubt the quality on those.

Don't really know much about the others, apart from the ones that the K04 people on here use...

you do not need a samco kit ?? it has silicon boost pipes already.

mods are:
THS type 2 front mount intercooler
forge split r dv/recirc
3 inch maf
3 inch turbo back full system with 3 inch down pipe
all boost by-pass
jetex filter in the wing
K03'S turbo
custom code stage 2 remap
tt coil packs

last rolling roaded at 228bhp before front mount and remap
