Two small problems/queries

Lads,

Just wondering if anyone has had the same problems:

1) The switch for unlocking the doors on my car has stopped working. When the doors lock automatically and you need to pick someone up i have to either take the key out or open the doors by hand which is a pain. The lock button is working fine though. Sometimes if i hit the unlock button it locks the car. Any ideas if this is a common fault? Is it a quick fix or would the whole unit on the centre console need replacing

2) Does anyone elses Leon steam up immediately after starting up when the air con is on? Seems to happen when mostly when I park with the air con on and come back to the car later. Takes a minute or two to clear. Just wondering on this one me being a bit simple

1) happened with mine a few months ago. dealer fixed it under warrenty. New button. Dont think its too much of a big job, as there is a section of the center console that i think pops out. Are you still under warranty?

2) mine does that sometimes.

not had button problem but every car will steam up after using the air con, dont know why but clears really quickly if you air con on

2) yes ... but only sometimes ... and its bloody annoying when it does happen!

I have also had the switch replaced under warranty.

Cars out of warranty (2yr one in Ireland the B*STARDS), so I'll be paying for that switch! Also, it doesnt slear too quickly even with the air con on. Its already had a new compressor and regas so i'm presuming its just one of those things

Just said I'd give an update. The switch works out at only €16.54 + VAT and is a 2 minute job to fit so thats due this week. Very handy

Good to know its not expensive in case mine goes!

I hate it when mine steams up sooooooooooooooooooo annoying!!

I saw on here someone gave advice on setting the air flow downward before turning off the car. I started doing this and it seems to stop the fogging up a lot...got an other air con problem now but thats in another thread

Changing lock unit in centre console aswel in a few days. Costing me £20 incl V.A.T. Pain in the arse when its not working.
