Choices, Choices........

I got coilovers this month and have decided I'm going to splash out another £100ish on something else too. My choices are probably going to be something like either a front strut brace, rear wheel spacers or an induction kit.

Im not sure really which route to go down, I'm aware that the induction is probably a bit pointless on a 1.4, so I'm unsure whether to improve looks with spacers or handling with the strut brace.

Opinions would be appreciated.
cheers :)

I'd go for spacers tbh mate, nice wider stance and improved handleing :)

By the way, did you get a set of the weitec hicon gtn's? How are they? I am thinking about getting a set of thses in the near future. Whats the ride quality like?

yeah, you recon? what size and where from?

I did indeed. I'm impressed with them to be honest so far. the ride is good, bumpier than standard but good. over bumps its not harsh at all its mostly just the fact you can feel the road surface more through the car. the handling is great, very little body roll less understeer. very easy to fit too and adjustable. Ive just lowered the back more tonight and had to take the struts off though.

Nice....glad your happy with them :) Will def try and get a set when my cars all mapped. Yeh spacers....most people buy them direct from Bill (Badger5). Between 10-20mm is what people usually choose. You need longer wheel bolts aswell and then a set of longer locking wheel nuts if your alloys are ones you wanna keep ;)

Have a search...been covered alot

Yeh 20mm is too big for a low car, well at least it was too big for mine.

I went for 10mm but could get away with 15 I think.

If you have £100 why don't you get spacers and a strut brace? Haven't fitted my front upper yet but my front lower made a big difference, might be worth thinking about one as they are cheap ;)

definitely spacers and a strut brace, ive got front lower and rear upper, and its lowered 40mm just on springs, it makes soo much difference!!! hopefully getting spacers next to make it even better at handling!!!

The spacers will come to around £85, and the strut braces is around £40 -£50 iirc.

You could modify the airbox with a few holes, which will give you a bit more grunt and sound, and should be free.
