Finally got one...

Well after 2 months of searching for a Seat Ibiza I finally found one last night.

Initially looking for a Cupra, I managed to pick up a Cupra R

Totally standard and a very tidy car if i don't say so myself

Only bad point is its yellow and has quite a bit of paint fade which i think will be the first thing I will be sorting out.

Also as never owning a Ibiza before I have a couple of silly questions

I don't know whether it was the long 400 mile drive last night but I'm sure one of the wing mirrors is smaller than the other????? Anyone shed some light on that

Also does anyone have any pictures of a Cupra R boot cover that lays on the floor the one in this car looks like something out of my grannies kitchen

I don't think the light brown carpet is standard though in the boot

Nah, seriously though, you'll love the Cupra(R)

BTW - I have a "boot mat" if that's what you mean. Made of some kind of rubber

Random - In the boot the guy has cut out some old granny carpet as there was no boot cover.

I am after the cover/matt or whatever you call it lol

could ask h170ch if he still has the mk3 he was breaking, or just look on eBay for a Mk3 being "broken"

I was led to believe the Cupra R's have a different boot well as they carry a proper spare alloy as opposed to a space saver - not sure on the boot lining though

yes cupra Rs have a different boot lining its raised to take the spare oz super T, would be useless in your car without a spare as would collapse. would take a piccy but my boot is full of s**t. lol

was that the cupra R on ebay that finished last nite? if so do you mind me asking how much you payed as my mate was looking at it.

The 007P is a recirculating dump valve available from www.forgemotorsport.co.uk. You get a 10% discount if you ask nicely in the comments box when ordering. These also occasionally show up for sale on the forum.

N249 Bypass - search the MK3 forum for "N249 my view" and it'll return a multi-page thread with everything you need to know. There's also a resistors thread if you want to bypass everything electronically.

TIP - Turbo Intake Pipe, also available from Forge

Can't you just make a metal pipe if you have the abilities??? for the TIP

If you've got the skill and facilities then you could. ATP sell a metal TIP - just bear in mind there are several different spouts that come off of it so it's not just a simple bended pipe

Have you got the 5th (spare) Oz SuperT wheel in the boot? If so you will need a cupra R boot carpet to accomodate it, if not any cupra (Any ibiza?) boot carpet will fit.
