Yep those sump nuts with one built in are good.
Or
You can get a sandwich plate that goes on before the oil filter and then the filter screws into it and it has a place where you can plug in your probe :D
Look on demon tweeks etc.

I think your best bet would be to go to halfrauds or somewhere and get the measurments for the sump nut required for your car, then order a sump nut with the sender built in.

I presume one will goto the sensor (sump plug) and one will goto 12v live? No idea though, never done this sort of thing. Sure someone will come along to help you more. ;)

Is your engine code AHF?

mmm, the sender is built into the new sump plug, so thats where i was lucky, i had to change the oil today and then put in the new sump plug with built in sender, but all is working now :D

is this normal, temperature sits at around 110c and with a spirited drive it was rising to around 120c?
mine is a non pd if that makes any difference

Sandwich plate sits between the oil cooler and the engine block - under your oil filter in the engine bay. Allows you to use an existing blank socket to install a sender in - I prefer the sump option as there's no problem with cross threading a bolt into a hole you can't see.

If you changed the bolt over when COLD , i doubt too much oil would run out but you'd still have a bit of leakage if you fumble the process :)
