My 2001 LC 1.8 20vt! brake caliper recondition page 11

Hi! New to this sort of stuff but wanted to share with you guys what i've done with my car so far.

It's a 2001 LC 20vt (as you probable have figured out all ready!) It's a great car to run around in. nice and quick! which you all know by know anyway! lol

So.......... here she is

so far i've done a few mods
badgless grill,
fabia rear wiper,
aero wipers up front,
short shift (out of my mates old golf that he's ripping apart),
armrest,
new mats cause mine where crap and had holes in,
and the SEAT brushed aluminum dash kit i got of shebay

so far i think it looks good! i've got a few more things i've got in the pipe lines.

i'm gunna do a lupo wing mirror conversion, all i need are the covers and the heated glass, my mate has the rest from his golf.

i've also got a BCM carbon fiber air intake to go in as well. just need to clean it and get a smaller air filter for my secondary air intake

I'm going to, at some point, get the Taxi light button. found out this morning it's £28.39 inc vat form my stealer. 10 to 14 days and i can't take it back for any reason either. but its for ****'s and giggles so when i can be arsed to get it then i will.

also i want to change the bumpers to the FR ones. (i think thats the ones, well pt it this way i don't want the cupra R bumpers but t'other ones! lol) paint the door trim as well to match the body. can't stand them at the moment

and finally at some point some new wheels.

Looks nice and tidy ... like looking in a mirror when I got mine And I usually have a big grin driving mine

Need to do the Fabia rear wiper at some point on mine ... did it have the silver dash surround when you got it?

cheers guy's. no it didn't have the dash trim. i found it on the bay went for like £60 which was a bit ****, but it was the proper SEAt one not that german stuff for like £20. this was all molded. had to clean the surface and peal the films off the sticky stuff.

the fabia rear wiper does make all the difference. got mine, again on the bay for like £20

UPDATE

so i've done a few other things. nothing major but still! lol
i've de-badged the back as well now.

i've changed my gear knob to a MK4 golf one

and changed the hand-break gaiter to a leather MK4 golf one as well.

next i'm gunna change my air filter to a BCM one. that'll be done in the next few weeks. and then I'm changing my wing mirrors to Lupo/ Arosa ones, with tinted/heated glass. i think i'm going to get the covers painted blue to go with the car. was going to do them black but it'll look better if they were blue me thinks!

ok new update. i've got a new stereo in, which i'll get some decent pics of tomorrow and I've just changed my standard wing mirrors to lupo wing mirrors. they look awesome, again i'll get some pics tomorrow.

it is yeah. that one is from a MK4 Golf gttdi.

Cheers mate! i found it on ebay. was about £15 i think. i might have up for sale soon. got a facelift bumper the other week so i'll be changing that grill for another one.

no worries will do.i'm going to replace it with this grill when i get the bumper back.

but it looks like this at the moment. i'll post some update pics when i can.

should look good when it's done i'm also going to put a red boarded around the centre grill and an L shape one on each of the outer grills. like this

ok got a little update for you all. just heard from the body shop that my bumper should be done at some point this week! which is awesome! so i should have it on by next week depending on when i pick it up. Just need to find a rear bumper now to go with it!
I took delivery of an audi s3 upper front strut brace this morning, which is cool, i've rubbed it down and sprayed it black. will do another coat tomorrow evening. and probably friday as well. so then i'll get that installed! i'm looking at some coilovers and some audi wheels, but need to save money for them.

i should have some pics up soon as well!

ahhh so you've been the one stealin all the bumpers!! haha it's a pain in the arse. there where some side skirts on ebay the other day, and they've been taken off which is a pain! I'll keep looking though!

I've got the grilles and front bumper, also the door moldings as well.
