Cupra r speedo on 1.6

as the title says i'm looking for a cupra r speedo just to take the white dial out and put it in my speedo just to take the boring black dial out (something new).

the problem is my 1.6 has only 140mph on the speedo and the cupra r dial has 160. i already have white dials in but they are the paper back and of not very good quality.

any recomendations to what i should do

Think you'd be better off replacing the whole instrument cluster as the fascia of the dials won't marry up.

Two options for that one, you can wait until the values match or there are people on eBay who do mileage adjustments for about £50 (last time I looked).

i'v already got some with the values matching bought off ebay, but that is the paper back and of not good quality think buy the look of things im stuck.......

I meant waiting until the mileage values match (assuming that the Cupra R instrument cluster has more miles on it than the current one in your car that is!)

What I did with my Mk2 Ibiza when I swapped the instrument cluster is just make it really clear in the documentation I keep with the car what's been done and how to get to the real mileage. Probably not a good move with a relatively high-value car though.

well said think ill just keep the paper back one in at least it shows the correct values (140mph) thanks
