Hi, just noticed this week that when the weather is a bit dull (but not dull enough to need the headlights on) then it's quite hard to read the dials (speedo etc), because on the new Ibiza the dials are surrounded by the silver cone thing (you'll know what i mean if you have one !).

I remember in my Leon that whenever the ignition was on so were the illuminated dial lights, with the new Ibiza they are not. The dials only illuminate when the lights are on.

Not really a problem 95% of the time because it's either bright enough outside, or getting dark so i put the lights on anyway.

Just wondered if there was a way to have the dials illuminated when the ignition comes on (lights not on), like my Leon did ?

Cheers,
Andy

It's a little annoying isn't it !, i wonder how long the side light bulbs would last if i kept them on in the daytime like the Volvo's ??? :)

Regards,
Andy

mk4s are the same, i have my sidelights on all the time, just a habit. bulbs last for ages don't worry!! never changed mine.

and when that first started all you saw was people driving along with no headlights on as the speedo was lit up making em think they had

:) can't win :p

well they must have been driving around with their eyes closed cos the road wouldn't have been lit !, that would have been the big clue to reach over for that little switch which makes the road light up !! :)
