Dump valve and air induction kit?

Forum jargon, you'll get to learn it in time :)

What car do you have by the way, Cupra R or Cupra/Cupra T?

I too am just starting to mod my car and will be travelling down a similar route to you. I recommend that you try a shielded open cone air filter to help prevent engine heat affecting your performance.

For Cupra R: http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=6775&xSec=349

For Cupra/Cupra T: http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=3692&xSec=349

Diverter Valve: http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=3714&xSec=349 (I understand fitting this the opposite way it was intended makes alot more noise and doesn't cause any issues either)

You wont get a loud dumping noise from the 007, i use a GFB 50/50 BOV and have done since last April with not one fault, you just need to set them up right in the first place :)

The videos on youtube seem to sound loud, I have a forge 007p and an open cone filter I here a noise but not really a massive dump more of a hiss. I reversed the valve last week for all of 10 minutes the sound wasn't for me sounded like I had killed a bird every time i changed gear.

my 007p and dynatwist induction gave a good sound with a stage 1 map.

you could consider removing the black insulation under the bonnet... should make it louder.

if your doing your zorst you could remove the middle box for more roar under power , i`ll stop now as i`ll get carried away:redface:

I have a 007p with a BMC CDA and it sounds pretty loud. I have the 007p fitted in reverse on a cold side relocation and the car has stage 2 Revo.
It took a while for the sound to get louder but it's perfect now, not too loud but loud enough.

Yea it makes a chirping noise, some like it I didn't, I get quite an audible noise changing gear at about 3000rpm after that between the exhaust and cone filter I can't actually hear anything. I would like to hear of a way of improving noise to a slightly more audible sound. Relocation kit maybe...

It's a shame VAG engines don't like atmos valves really. I don't want to chuck a Split-R on and risk getting limp mode so the 007 is really the only option, especially after a remap, the Bosch one will crack I would imagine.

Have a Forge 007 DV and Unsure on the filter it came on the car quite a small open cone is the only way to describe it, not ideal i suppose but will do at the min. Would the filter make a big diff?

the standard one should be ok. early leons had some problems with the diaphrams tearing/holeing but newer ones should be fine. i heard of one tuner using the standard valves for big turbo set ups without issue.

however...the diaphrams could leak robbing power and it wouldnt always be obvious to the cause. 007p has less to go wrong.

their is a beefed up diaphram valve which im using, the apr r1 which sounds good on mine but i dont know what it would sound like under less power.

meet up at pease pottage one night and try it on yours if you like;)

for whoever asked earlier i have a cupra r remapped to 260bhp. first point of call is the blueflame cat back which will be ordered shortly. after that k + n and 007dv will be fitted.

we'l just have to see wot its like then before i decide on anymore mods.
