People and their love of numbers!! There's always pained looked and red faces once you get them down the rolling road club meeting, and shouts of "it's the wrong air temp today, and my car never makes good figures on these type of rolling roads, it has to be a Dyno Dynamics RR blah blah blah"

There's a good chance it's 240 to 250 bhp on that turbo ... how long the clutch will last is anyones guess. The only real test is to go on the open road and do some timing runs, no sense using a Dyno as that's only valid to compare other cars that ran on the same day on the same dyno, otherwise it's just bragging rights.

If you believe CustomCode, you can't get more than 220bhp out of standard injectors :)

It all depends anyway on what it is set up for, it may have a massive peak power and very little torque, or the other way, or be smokey as hell, or who knows, a very impressive bit of luck to get that high up.

The turbo is rated up to 260bhp max IIRC, I dont believe the injectors could get very much more than 220, say 240 if you bear in mind variation and give a bit of slack in calculating numbers. It may be possible for a short short time, I cannot see how it would not heat soak like crazy though in reality.

A second RR on a RR that has a proven track record on a group shootout day with equivalent cars might be good, mine 'only' had 201 bhp according to superchips, once she runs again I'll do a run hopefully, get the map redone and see what happens ;)

Would be interesting to see if that power can be put down on the road anyway, I wouldnt consider those power levels without a quaife at least, and if fitting one of those, I'd drop in the uprated clutch too at the same time :)

Yeah the turbo is good for it, like many others, doesnt mean it will run it on a SMIC however safely for long LOL.

As for C-C/JBS they have always said, for the past however long I can remember have said you cant get more than 200bhp from standard injectors, when did you hear 220bhp from them?

I knew the figure was somewhere around that :)

So youve not heard its more than 200bhp from them? Only asking as they wont tell anyone I know of that you will see more than 200bhp on std injectors, no matter how many other tuning companies ALL do it.

Funny?

Nah
F*cking hilarious.

As if that clown believes his car car consistently run 260+bhp on a standard clutch and SMIC.
My clutch is knackered running 285 ft/lbs let alone 350+.

As for the SMIC. Thats the biggest joke of them all. Cars running nothing more than a stage 1 map, will more often than not suffer from heat soak, sometimes sending them into limp mode.
I'd love to know how you can run that sort of power on the setup he has. Would save me an awful lot of money.

OH good some people that agree with me for once...The company who mapped it have a track record of giving high RR figures.

It is hilarious and will be even more so if he appears at a RR day i've organised for the end of February...

@T_spark...I have a PD 100 which I messed about with last year and got it to 205 bhp
To do this I changed

-GT49-17vb Turbo
-PD 130 intake system from the airbox to the turbo
-PD 130 injectors
-PD 150 FMIC
-PD 150 Map sensor
-PD 150 Boost control valve
-PD 150 Inlet manifold
-PD 130 MAF and housing
-Custom EGR delete
-Turbo back miltek
-PD 150 ECU fully coded to my keys and immob3 clock's thanks to Ray
-ECS G60 SMF and VR6 Clutch (O2J Box)

I think that's it...

I would post a pic of the print out but my post count isn't high enough yet...

Gavin, great to hear from you. I so nearly signed up on the forum. I love how people giving facts out as to why its not got that power, get shot down by people that have no clue. All they say is "If your so good why not set up your own remap company"

Now lets all be honest, it aint running that power, I know it, anyone with more than 2 brain cells knows it, however doesnt mean im gunna go set up a business for a mapping company does it? idiots.

Please feel free to link this thread, onto that thread.

As which point I stress to anyone on that thread that believes this kid has that power...

You are a idiot, the kid is a idiot. As Tom. has said high end maps on a std turbo can set the car to go into limp mode, due to no reason other than the SMIC cant handle the heat.

Nice spec on ya old PD100 mate, I believe it was running that power, due to your list on mods. I had 202bhp on my Ibiza PD130 with FMIC, exhaust, filter, PD160 Air intake and a very harsh map on a standard KKK turbo unit. However since upgraded and now running the same set up, plus a TD2 turbo unit and got 230bhp, until I sort cooling out more, then should see closer to 260bhp MAX.

These turbo's arent good for any more, nevermind the fact id be looking at a custom cooler + W.I to get a usual 260bhp on a dyno.

Keep us informed :)

Was quite a funny read as some of these lads obviously have little peckers or no inteligence whatsoever or both.

The PD130 is probably one of the most common engines on the road out there and probably one of the most discussed on VAG forums too.

These nippers should research, listen and learn.

He'll next been telling his mates that he's won £15billion euros on a lottery he's never entered into..... Just young and naive - not his fault.

I think his tuners have a lot answer for. They should know if there's any experience amongst them. Stock car.....FFS!!!???
