after deciding against a remap i've now gone full circle and am gonna get one done, as my insurance company seem more worried about handling upgrades that bhp upgrades!!!!

wanting to know where you had your remap done, how much it cost and the power gains?

am based in southampton and wondering who to go with. am prepared to travel a little but not to the other end of the country!!!

I had my stage 2 done at P-Torque in wolverhampton and I got 229bhp and 244lb/ft but its quite a druve for you.

If I was you I would go to see Bill @ Badger 5, he's a Revo & CC dealer I think.

Good decision :) I went with P Torque Stage 1 at first then eventually upgraded to a Stage 2. Not sure what figures I got with Stage 1 but should have been somewhere between 200 and 220 but the change in how it accelerates was very noticeable. I'm now on 240 bhp with Stage 2 and it's even more mental.

I'm in Sussex, edewer but still did the 400 mile round trip to get it remapped. I also had the option of posting off the ECU to be mapped but I didn't want to be without car for a few days and enjoyed the drive :p

There are lots of other places more local you can get other remaps done like JKM in Portsmouth who do Revo, or various Custom Code dealers.

not too keen on going with JKM as they only do the revo maps. looked at travelling up to p-torque but a 300 mile round trip is maybe a lil too much! or is it? will it be worth it?

300 mile round trip, pffff. I traveled about 450 mile round trip and worth every penny. Will realy knows his sh1t, P-Torque.

I had forgot about JKM. If I was as close to Bill as you are I'd go there, he is in Gloucestershire clicky. One of the most respected tuners on here.
I cant recommend P-Torque highy enough though. My car has been transformed by Will.

How did I know the second reply would be you Kris, lol.

:p

Custom Code is the other main option then, Formula One in Brighton do CC remaps. I'm trying hard not to be biased but have to agree with Damo, the P-Torque map is really good.

although ever tho bill is only 100 miles away apparently it'd take the same amount of time to get there!!!

Pre remap i was averaging 28 mpg, post remap its between 31 and 32 mpg. I get an extra 20-30 miles out of a tank. Definitely worth it and if you're with a mod friendly insurance company your insurance won't be affected.
