hi there,

I current have standard brembro's on my cupra, ive been having allot of problems with this and its got to a point where im thinking of ditching the standard disc seat reccomend with the cupra r brembro and going for an ACTUAL brembro disc c/w pad.

What are you thoughts? What Brembro kit is it on the car is it a GT Junior? Would you reccomend upping the brake fluid?

I might be wrong but I thought the OEM disk on a Cupra R was a Brembo one? :shrug:
Unless of course you are referring to different types of Bembo's

Bill at Badger 5 will be able to supply some decent disks/pads at good prices.

I've just replaced mine with his 330mm 2 piece disks and ds2500 pads. Fantastic setup.

its not a gt junior kit as such as calipers and caliper brkts are different offsets. disks are same size as brembo gt junior tho. oe disks are brembo disks
good pads to use are ds2500 ferodos.

optional disks in plain or grooved are available made by ebc, which despite what you may hear, are actually fine when combined with ds2500 ferodos

good fluid (high temp) is motul rbf600

some prices of this stuff is in my badger5 section if this is of interest

I think I'm getting 5.1 when I get mine changed.

dont get suckered into dot 5.1 being better, as in higher temp fluid because it mostly is'nt, its just less hygroscopic.

rbf600, rbf660 etc are both dot4 fluids but higher temp than most hence their good high duty performance over oe fluid, if you suffer fade and sinking pedal then this can fix it

I'v got a track session in May so thought I'd go for the 5.1, Will this make any difference in normal everyday brakeing ???

nope, assuming everyday braking does'nt overheat your brakes.. driving style dependant thing
dry boil temp is the differentiator on fluids, which is why the likes of motul rbf600 is a good dot 4 fluid, its boil point are higher than most other fluids, no matter if the others are dot 5.1

as said, the 5.1 rating relates to the hygroscopic properties of it......... absorbtion of water which derates its boil point significantly
