Pondering thoughts and opinions on the Cupra. What will other Cupra owners get next?

Curious to see whether they manage to do anything "interesting" with the Exeo, engine-wise. Still not sure about the Exeo, though - it looks a bit like an A4 from certain angles.

Thats because the Exeo is the old style A4 with fancy dress and SEAT badges....

My neighbour has one and I went out in it one day. Loved the S button and it sucking you in to the seat :D

Certainly quick and loads of traction. Nice sound track too :)

He has lost a fortune on his in the last year and this is the reason he is holding on to it where he would normally change after a year or 2 at the most.

I'm not sure why, but I like Nissan's 350Z.
I would never buy new so a 370Z is out the qustion.
Problem is the misses want another kid so the Leon will be staying for a bit

350/370 Z or lexus IS350 or IS-F for me next time that is If I didn't need folding rearseats I'd still own an IS.
Test drove S3 and simply can't justify the extra price they ask for one.

Good on the Cupra are traction (no problem whatsoever in the cold as long as you drive good winter tires) fuel consumption (Drove a Ford ST, IS200 Kompressor and RX-8 for a short time and each had a drinking problem) an good seats.

Bad are finishing quality, Vag stealers, and the dash.

The bloke who bought my last LCR ended up with a Lexus IS220d after some w@nker wrote his Leon off. Said he'd always wanted a Lexus, and after 3 months he sold it as he said it was a hateful car. Got a 330Cd and far preferred it. IS-F may be a different animal.

If he had the first edition IS 220D with the standard 6 speed manual he was right. This Polish toyota motor is rubbish and the gearbox is amongst the worst in business (motor is a bit better in the Avensis but having issues with reliability). Lexus is great in big Petrol engiines combined with Auto. IS 250 manual is a bit better but not a good choice eather. Fun begins with the very storn IS350 which has to be imported since they don't do ik over here. Allready build a IS350 with compressor which is as fast as an IS-F but lighter and sportier. IS-F is not the same car as the other IS modells unlike the cupra which is not that different from the other Leons the F is a very different car (especially the front end but unfortunately the left the interior unchanged).

Warwickshire once.
Don't know, not long had the K1 and will have to see what happens to make me spend money elsewhere?

Thoughts are:-
I would love an RS4, but not the fuel bills or Audi servicing costs (£100+ per hour excluding VAT,,,, get a grip).

The K1 is great but I really miss the mid range of the Mk4 Cupra TDI, overtaking was simply a case of moving your foot and not faffing about changing gear. I think therefore for the next car I might consider going back to a TDI. Time will tell though.

Could happily have a Scirocco if they sort the BHP out.

I must be the only person that doesn't like the look of the new Scirocco! It just doesn't look that nice to me, I don't like the shape at all! :(

Unfortunately I don't think I can seriously think about changing for a while yet but I'd love one of those! :D Only thing is, I do a lot of mileage and I reckon they will drink fuel! Would be great to see a 3.0 TDi version though! Any idea on what price they are expected to be?

I don't like the shape at all!

I'm not fond of it eather. Had a testdrive and must say the ride is good but wiht the wanted options it's getting expensive and the doors are big and very unpractical in places where I have to park.

Car I do like is the new Impreza boxer diesel (the top spec version). Got the looks of the STI and a very nice ride without the fuell bills....

I looked at the Scirocco as a serious option when I was looking to change my Cupra.

One initial thing that was putting me off was the power as it was a bit of a step back from the Cupra.

VW dealers were being there usual pain, not returning phone calls when I enquired about specs of those coming into the dealership and they were pressuring for an order before release so before test drive as there would be a 10 month waiting list once released (yeah right!).

Pricewise though as Cuprarob112 they aren't cheap (but like a Golf GTi really). When I priced one up it got to near £24,000 after adding leather, tyre pressure monitor and parking sensors plus a few other bit as pieces (that was for a manual and not DSG), which is close to TT territory.

It's the one thing that turns my gut when owning a VW. The dealers are the worst of the VAG group. Twice I've gone to buy an R32 at a dealers, twice I've walked away. Fortunately I bought a SEAT!
