Turning off auto lock

I have a ibiza 1.9tdo sport. when i go over 19mph the car has an auto lock on it. Is there a way of turning this off so i dont have to unlock my car everytime i want to get out?

Ive heard theres a key sequence you have to do in order to turn it off?

Any help would be appreciated cheers!

u can use either vag-com

or take into SEAT they should do it for u

Can do it with VAG-COM.

Block number 46 ... it comes under "Adaption" ... Auto lock and auto unlock can be enabled/disabled with alarm chirps and indicator flashes etc too.

part of the deal when i bought my car from the dealers (2004 i.9 130 sport) was to turn that off! i dunno how they did it though, but i hated it! just gonna say ask them but i guess they will charge you!

intresting my car locks the doors when driving at 10 mph on the dot!
when i unlock my car the alarm flashes the lights and makes 2 chirps, as well as unlocking all doors!
when locked its just 1 chirp and a flash from the lights!

its the orginal flip key, the back up remote key and the plain key i have

Is it meant to bleep/chirp? if not, what alarm is fitted? factory?

the chirp and unlocking all the doors has probably been turned on at some point before with VAG COM, if you bought the car second hand, it will be the previous owner. If its new, the dealer must have been playing around with it before.

Its still the factory unit and can be changed back to how you want it with VAG COM also

going to keep it the way it is, yes the auto lock can get a tad annoying when getting out, or having passengers that dont know why ive locked them in! but its a safety feature i suspose!

yea the last owner had VAGCOM on it quite a few times!
