I wasn't making a definitive statement. Didn't mean to take anything away from the likes of RobDons, MDS's or anybody elses cars. As said, they too have very good Cupras

(I think my Pato Scalextric Leon is the best on here anyway )

I Wasnt saying it to you mike, i was just saying it is for best looking cupra, so whoevers saying paintjob hasnt got much to do with it is obviously not thinking about it properly, paintwork has alot to do with the looks of a car

Yes, but a car cannot be judged on paint alone. I'm not saying anything to promote my own car, just some seem very short-sighted, as Rudd said MDS and Sixpot have awesome cars too and have won trophies, had mag features etc. etc. The white and yellow paintjobs look fantastic, don't get me wrong, but MDS's stance and rims look far better, and a white car shouldn't have white wheels.

i was going to mention robdons leon is great looking as well.

since its about best LOOKING cupra,id say that a paintjob has a very big factor in it as the people who get a full respray in a custom colour shows that they have a passion as to what it looks like.

apart from that, the only other modification for looks would be rims,bodykit,vinyls, any other visual sight.

and in my eyes,body kits on a cupra is a big no for me,the cupra styling is perfect as it is.
and for the wheels,im in love with the standard cupra r alloys and wouldn't change them for anything.

and yeah,things like brakes,front mounted intercooler in the grill,exhaust etc would matter too,but that is leaning more towards the performance side of things.

I agree, i dont feel mine is the best because it has been resprayed in a colour nobody else has, i know that alot of other things effect the looks of a car, but whoever has said that its between mine n faisals car, thats there opinion, i mean everyones allowd to express there own opinion, noones actually said that there own car is the best...but i think they are all nice in there own way

Just IMO but white cars should have dark rims, looks far better.

Obviously paint plays a part in how a car looks , but that's only half the story - wheels, stance, mirrors, bonnet (carbon), headlamps, grills, tints, etc., etc.. are all part of how a car looks.

yes mate thats fine i will sort some out tonight. but when i get home from work its dark so it hard to get a black car on camera in dark. but will get your some pics it is pretty much standard cupra r looks but with FMIC. tints coming on next week

You Shuold Move that plate to the bottom of the bumper, it makes the car look a bit goofy i reckon lol, as its been debadged and all

got my tints with the car, some of the rear tint is scratched due to the female species that sometimes reside in my car (do not wish to elaborate).

the thing is,theres a difference between best cupra,and best looking cupra.

i know that im way off when it comes to best cupra,there are people out there that deserve their credit for what theyv done,IHI turbos,hybrids,remapped cars producing 300bhp, coupled with a car kept in mint condition, i cant touch that.

but looks-wise, i hope to have a bit more of an impact as the respray is the only weapon i have that would stand me out in front of another cupra.
hard to get my thoughts in text so i hope you get where im coming from...

i know what u mean but the plate has got nothing to lean on then. when i go on motorway the plate normal comes off or cracks as there is nothing behind it supporting it.
so thats why i have put it higher on the bumper.

I understand the initial impact but looks under the bonnet, ICE install, Retrim etc are all part of the best looking Cupa IMO

So are we saying this should include everything except BHP and Torque claims, max speeds, and claimed 1/4 mile times, as none of these make a car "look" nice.

In fact, would they not make a car difficult to see, as it shot past you in a blur of speed

Put it this way, any car driving past you that looks standard, regardless of what colour of paint it has, is not going to catch your eye and make you turn and look (think electric orange Focus ST) is it? But if same car is lowered with nice rims, tints, exhaust, etc. you would take a longer look.

That is my point.
