Brembo's or EBC discs for LCR ???

Had a prob with my LCR which has been diagnosed this morning on this forum (see thread below). I am going to go for the DS2500 pads for unsure whether to go for the Brembo's or the EBC discs with it.
Badger has put together a good package that i can order form him, but as in the thread, has anyone had probs with EBC discs over the Brembo's, i'm really unsure whether the extra money for the Brembo's are worth it (partly cause i'm majorly strapped for cash right now).
Any thoughts????

Ive got ds2500 pad with the brembo dilled disc no complaints. the standard discs used to glow on a hard drive on my local roads. but can get the brembos to glow the pedal is always gd and i dont get fade any more. I would go with the brembo set up.

I've just ordered the DS2500 pads and am about to order the EBC plain discs off of Bill but i'm also getting the discs grooved for £50 for the pair and he assures me there just as good as the brembo discs

Haven't tried any EBC products, but this is due to the bad rep I've read. From the previous forums I've been a member of (inc SXOC, Scoobynet and now SeatCupra) I just seem to read bad stuff about their pads and discs.

For this reason alone, I'm not willing to take a risk and suffer from warped discs or squealing pads.

I'd go for the brembo, can't say I've read anything bad (except the higher costs) ;)

Cheers,

Charlie

I had the EBC turbo grooved and drilled discs and green stuff pads on my old 106 gti and they were abused doing the odd track days and they never let me down and the braking was superb on them

I suppose stopping something the weight of a tin can compared to the LCR is a different ball game lol

I know I'v posted this a few time's but this guy is seriously cheap for Brembo's

Me too :p Actually, I asked Dave for a price when I saw his "October Service Offer" thread, with service parts 40% off, which included brake parts... due to the number of questions about LCR Brembos, he posted up a separate thread... suprised so many people have missed it

I used to have red stuff pads with EBC grooved disks and had no probs other than pads not lasting long. Now running EBC grooved disks with ds2500 and they are excellent no probs at all even when stone cold.
