This is a question that only people that have had stage 1 remaps AND THEN after had a custom remap with an up-rated clutch at a later date can answer from experience.
Stage 1 remap will see a PD150 around 180-195bhp and 295lb ft (for clutch health) @ £265^
Custom remap + Clutch sees around 210-220bhp and 330-350 lb ft @ £900^
(please correct my figures if they are wrong)
The question: Is there a massive notice in power hike between the two? (sounds like a stupid question but there's no point in spending loads extra for minimal oomph)
I'd love a new clutch and custom remap however with the car needing a new cambelt as well my bill is around £1300^
