ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ******* car, costing me stoooopid money!!!

Well i've got some spendoes to collect for the car!
Had it remapped at P-torque, now 6k later on the mileage and the clutch slips every now and then. £££
Need front discs and pads, any ideas on the best 280mm setup? £££
Now it's done 60k and requires a major sevice, belts and water pump ect £££
Bought her coilies yesterday, got some tasty Mercedez rims and adapters to fit.

All this is getting done in the new year.

alright mate, just wondering when your clutch clips e.g at what revs and under what kind of driving?

At the mo it's ok, but it's usually after a lazy drive to work, 1500 to 2000rmp under load lol, I know thats wrong but well!
Also on the motor way in 6th, after a while driving in 6th when I put the foot down even above 2500rpm it sometimes slips.

ah ok lol, just i've just got mine remapped and am still in the stage of 'am i wrecking the clutch here or not?!' but mine isnt slipping yet...

just try to hammer the gas at 2.5k and above till you've got an uprated clutch!

yeah thats what i do lol. might have to have a look into uprated clutches in the new year. my mechanic mate says they're expensive to fit though

I'm a mechainc so it's just the cost of the clutch for me lol
As for getting one fitted, if you go with one of the sponsered companies on here then it's actually cheap, fittingis next to **** all!!

JBS supply and fit cheap, just drop them a new thread

Mine did that, it's a pain in the arse! You have to drop down everytime you want to throttle up on the motorway.

Your car should be sweet when it's all done though mate!

Your so correct, tis a pain in the arse. 3 week ago I had a mate in the car, saw a skoda VRS pull up at the side of me, he looked at me then booted it so I let him infront then I gave it some to catch up, he then boots again, I go full throttle to be met with mahooosive slip!

Wouldn't mind the slip but even with partial throttle I was sticking with him, couldn't fully boot it to leave him

So gutted and embarrased lol!

Yeh - i found just throttling gently in 6th was slipping too. Very bad times
