:cry:Will be sad to see the this car go... its served me well for the last two years..... and was definately great fun (especially with some recent understeer experiences)

Decided as the warranty is recently up and had a couple of issues with complete loss of boost..... (dealer unable to identify.. prior to warranty finishing) that I would part company with the little speed wagon.

So thanks to anyone for any advice (changing brakes especially) or just hints and tips I've picked up whilst trawling through the threads.

I'm not however departing the SEAT scene and am trying my hand at a Leon Cupra (08 reg)....:D
Just got to wait till monday now to pick the damn thing up!

I'll be sure to keep checking back to the good old MK4 thread....

About your lack of boost, did SEAT discover what was causing it?

I only ask as my 56 Cupra has been in the dealers for the past week and they have been taking video's of test drives and everything.

I pulled out to overtake someone and the thing died mid overtake.

SEAT have been totally useless in both the recovery and courtesy car aspects and don't seem to have a clue whats up with it.

Nope they 'plugged it in' and no faults were recorded. The fault always rectified itself after a rest (turned off). All instances of the fault were at stupid times of day (early morning airport trips or late runs home), so I never actually managed to get it to the delear with it still in limp mode. There were no logs and no warning lights; and I was not willing to risk having to replace the Turbo or something equally expensive (should Seat have decided to not extend the cover on that fault), besides it was dues for its 60k service anyway and the HP had just finished.

Good Luck!
