is this common?

The wife was out in the lcr last night and i got a call saying the car was running funny lol I guessed straight away coil pack,and it was so i got one today from work. Changed it and car was fine

Now i went out earlier and the car started running on 3 cylinders again so checked and NOW another coil pack has gone down,so what i want to know is it common for more to go once the first one has?

When 1 goes they all go ( i think they're in some kind of union lol ) , i replaced ALL 4 last year.

best thing to do is mate when one goes change them all,think its common 1 of mine went so changed all of them

I had one go on my Leon Cupra earlier this year, changed the one that failed and got a spare just incase but i haven't had any others go......yet lol fingers crossed.

What are the tell tale signs for this? As my car has recently developed a problem recently, running un-smooth at times, but on boost is fine?

Also service is not due until next June but going to service next month. .

mine just started to run on 3 cylinders lol so just unplugged 1 coil at a time while engine was running to find out which one it was.

Also when i changed the first one engine management light went out straight away,now changeed 2nd one and its still on

Any ideas as to why?
