That lower picture is a pre facelift cupra. Both cupra's and none cupra's that were prefacelift shared the same bumper.

After facelift the cupra's changed but the non- cupras didnt.

That looks like a front bumper to me ;)

And yes there is a difference. Pop into the readers ride section and you should find plenty of Leon pics to compare the LCR/FR+ bumper to the Cupra/FR.

Hi,

Is there much diffrence with the Leon Cupra Mk I and the Cupra R rear bumper guys?

Yes, the Cupra bumper looks s*** compared the the 'R' bumper :p. The post facelift Cupra bumper, IMO, is a solid painted bubbly thing that gives the rear a rather bland look. The Cupra R bumper is a little chunkier with a cut-out section at the base, in an anthracite colour plastic, gives the rear more definition.

Each to their own though, it's down to personal taste.

You're better off doing a Google image search.

Makes sense now.

Would having a Cupra R front bumper and just a facelift Cupra rear bumper look weird?

Nope, the two highest powered, well two of the highest cupra's (rob don and DPJ ) have these bumpers, and they go nicely ;)

Quite a few people on here have Cupra's, change the front for a Cupra R bumper but leave the rear the same. It doesn't look out of place at all but it's your personal preference over which one you like the most. You either like one or you hate it.

depends on your preference, the R bumpers do look great, but with the right mods, so can the pre face lift cupra's still look good

i've often thought about getting a cupra r rear bumper for my cupra. i recon to the untrained eye it would look pretty much OEM. talk to a dealer about the implications tho because i was under the impression that the main reason why most people will tell you that a cupra r exhaust wont fit a normal cupra is because the exhause wouldnt fit right... so there must be some kind of subtle difference. feel free to contradict because i've been pondering this and cant find a definitive answer.

It is aligned slightly differently between the R and the Cupra.

Sames applies with fitting a Cupra exhaust to the FR+.

ok so i have a pre facelift cupra and hate the front bumper. i personally prefer the facelift front bumper to the cupra r one. am i right in thinking this should just be a straight swap for me to do?
