Put a deposit down on a 55 LCR - queries...

Hey all,

Just put a deposit down on a 55 plate LCR but had a few queries (easy ones I think!)

Under the cigarette lighter area is a large blue connector, what is this for? Looks like some sort of ISO connector?

How easy is it to fit cruise control, and where can I get it done, cost also?

What mats have you guys got, are the standard Leon mats any good? Do they do specific Cupra Mk1 mats? Is it best to get some custom made (black w/ red trim?) etc?

What oil do I need to be using for the car?

Should I be using super unleaded or is it pretty happy with the bog standard stuff?

Thats all I can think of to start with, thanks in advance, will post pics one its all purchased and picked up!

You can get cruise control kit for about £60....it is easy depending on your model.

Kit here: http://www.accessories.skoda.co.uk/productdetail.aspx?p_no=BEA300003
Guide here: http://www.carbasics.co.uk/vw_golf_mk4_cruise_control.htm (it does say golf mk4, but it is the same)

I just baught genuine Seat mats from Stealer - cost £30 all in and they are great - they drivers one has 'LEON' written on it in red.

And I *think* the connector is your diagnostic plug, but it should have a cover over it!

3. i use syntha gold 1litre, but i was using millers before

4. defo use super (tesco/v power) i actually prefer the tesco and has been proven to be run consistantly well with turbo'd cars...i have been running v power for 22k and some days it felt quick ,others not.....stick to tesco its cheaper too

dunno bout the cable thingy..lol

good luck with the car matey

Is it correct that this big blue connector (vag com connector) should have some sort of cover? Can I buy them seperately?

Good to see can get cruise easily done, might give it 6 months before I debate a remap etc and get done at the same time as dan_boy did.

ANOTHER QUESTION: The headlights had some condensation inside them, the dealer said it had just been pressure washed and hadnt been run for a while, anything to sorry about? Think it had gone once we had given it the test drive.

Anyone got pics of the £30 SEAT mats with LEON written on them in red?

Cheers with all the help so far :)
