I've got a 06 Cupra. Does anybody else get distortion from their speakers? Even if the volume isn't loud at all. I'm beginning to think its a warranty job. Is it the HU or the speakers?

not sure as out of warranty myself but i think my speakers get distorted. usually bad from the radio but c.d. is usually good. Try changing the standard speakers for new ones?

sounds to me like speakers are blown and probably wont be covered by warranty. The stock speakers are crap anyway, go upgrade them dude!

my friend what size are the front speakers and have you had any trouble changing the head unit. The handbook says that it can affect the tcs as speed controlled volume. I'm sure that is pure bs. Won't change the rear ones just fade them out

6.5 inch components and yeah its bs.

cheers thought so have a panasonic 4x50 to put in from wifes old car with new speakers in jan. what adaptors will i need for leads?

for the head unit currently has a block of 4 rows of pons on top/2 1 and 1 on the bottom so what are the connections from the car like? i do not have steering control on my car.

im not actually sure as I never fit my own headunit actually. Only way to find out is to whip out the old unit and have a look!
