now as of last night at the derby meet my car got vag commed and i found out my temp sensor has gone i recived one that night ( thanks matt) but can any one tell me where it is as im not very good around a engine

follow radiator pipe on left. You should find it by here somewhere. Them unplug it. And then pull out the horse shoe type clip and but sensor out. This should help!

iv been and had a look just not on my dinner break and iv spent a good 15 mins looking around the cars engine bay and i can't find it :( it might just be not looking in the right place but i followed tryed to follow the raditaor pipe but failed

i can't belive i can't find it its only a 1.4 i can littrealy stand in the engine bay lol theres that much room

i changed it yesterday buy i am yet to see the temp gague move all though the engine light hasn't come back on the car deffonatly is warming up quicker than what it was like it used to so im half way there goin to leave it on tck over tonight and see if that'll pick it up as my drive home from work isn't very long

anyone else got an idea to test it?

if your temprature gauge isnt moving the thermostat is gubbed... the thermostat is connected between a radiator pipe and the engine block, not as easy to change without experience.

Do you mean the needles aren't moving when you turn the car on for eg or they do move but don't give true readings etc and start going irratic


From cold they work perfectly in the morning
After 2 / 3 minutes, they start giving false readings.
The needle / needles just go as they please lol..

However its only the 2 right sides, ( mph and petrol )
Rpm and oil temp is fine..

Bloody petrol bleeper is doing my head in tooo !!!
