I've got a problem with my 07 Leon FR, the rear drivers side door will not lock and the window will not open either.

It appears like there is no power going to the rear drivers side door as the switch for the electric window on the door does not illuminate like it should do.

I know the car is still under warranty but I was wondering if anyone had the same problem as this before and is it just a fuse or something maybe

Whatever the problem is its :censored: annoying because I dont want to take the car anywhere because I cannot lock the door :ban:

On a similar topic...anyone know what the story is with the lock button by on the transmission tunnel? The lock button is fine but when i pull in to pick someone up I always wind up having to shut the car off and take key out to open the doors.

Is there some special way of gettin the unlock one to work? I've tried holding /pressing quickly. Its really hit or miss and p1ssing me off

Just hit the unlock button next to the handbrake. No need to switch off the car.

hi mate sounds like your control module has gone, this module controls the locks, windows and alarm. It is a very common fault with seat as confirmed at white dove in Cardiff. When it goes it can cause the alarm to go off randomly, the windows to just open when unattended or the locks to fail. It will be covered under warranty, but I imagine they will say they have to order the part when you take it in.

All the best though

Cheers reesy,

I had a look around last night when I went home from work and found that when the multi plug going into the front drivers door was wiggled around the window and lock in the rear drivers door would work intermittently. :funk:

So I pulled back the rubber gaitor to see if the plug was loose but alas no, it appears that there is a bad contact with one of the wires coming out of the plug and into the door.

The rear drivers door power feed must run through the front drivers door first if you know what I mean, you know like a series circuit. I will show my findings to SEAT next tuesday as this will save them time in diagnosis.

Thanks for the help and suggestions so far guys, I'll keep you updated of what the dealer has to say.
