Black Wheel bolt cover sizes?

hi all

I need to get a set of black wheel bolt covers, so my silver ones dont stand out against my black wheels

does anyone know what size the bolts are?

looked at a few on Ebay, and they state the wheel bolt cap size needed is 17mm?

I would measure mine, but its at AMD, and would like to get some ordered tonight

yep, 17mm. just measured one of the originals i took off when i fitted spacers.

dont forget std locking bolts have a bigger head.

Why not just spray the 1's you've got on there at mo. Did this to mine last yr.

Yeah and are round inside the caps.

if you order from a place on ebay called teeside vw, you get the full set of black caps with the tool to get them out and the ones for the locking wheel nuts. look nice with a new set on. i chose black as i had my wheels refurbed black .

I thought of that, but upon taking the bolts off, the paint will just chip, so needed covers instead so I can just remove this when needing to take a wheel off

Sorry mate I meant spray the caps not the nuts. Bit late now as you've bought them already, just wondering how much did they work out and do they do different colours

It was £10 for 20 covers, including the tool, so not too bad I guess

Got mine from vw teeside. Look great!!! all in for around a tenner!!!
