Painting my ibiza Cupra wheels? Your opinions please

Hello all.


My cars wheels have several scratches from the previous owner of the car, therefore i am thinking of painting the wheels.


I cannot decide which color to go for thought, so i need your help.


I am thinking grey, something like gun metal or something (dont know how its called)


Mat black is not the best color to go for i think since the wheels look a lot smaller after.


I tried a little bit in photoshop (i aint got any skills though)

If anyone can help me out with a photoshop suggestion i would be greatful.

why not painting the wheel in black and do a red lip around it.

i could just sell my rims...and buy some ultraleggeras...but my prob is that since i use the car for twisty roads...i think they would not last a long time

The anthracite above is the same anthracite as the one used in the front bumper grille?(and lower rear bumper colour)

Am asking so that i can be 100% sure how to describe them on the guys i will have them painted...

Both my side skirts, and the side skirts on the other red FR-cupra look alike are made from Autotest.

Its an italian brand and here in Greece are very common since the dealer uses autotest body kit to equip the Ibiza Top Gun version.

So they supply both side skirts. I paid arround 400 euro but you can buy Motordrome ones which are way cheaper (immitation)

Do we have a color code for anthracite?

You know... something to identify the color or something like car paint color, so that i can give the info to the guys who will paint them?

Copy the guy with the red FR and paint them a primary colour. His yellow rims look good.

I'd personally go for gloss black. One of my mates has a red cupra with gloss black wheels and it looks great.

I'd go for white - I think white on red is awesome!

Second best would be anthracite - black is cool but you can't see the detail of the wheels esp in photos.

Yes they are anthracite, a very difficult colour to photograph esp in winter light in the sun they are bronzy silver in the dark they look black, they were powder coated by a company that specialise in wheel refurbs and powder coating only, they gave me the paint mix on apiece of paper if I need it for anything else.

The guy wiht cupra silver his are a lighter version of probably the same mix.

hhmh bit too dark for my taste...


Damoegans rims look a better to me. I would like them maybe a little bit less dark.

Unless the moody weather aint doing them justice. hehe
