Mines plumbed into the fuel pressure reg mate. Would it make alot of difference being plumed in anywhere else then? D

I had this problem with my Autometer mechanical gauge plumbed in from the brake servo (green nipple) line, using a no-buzz t-piece. My gauge only peaks at 17PSI but VAG COM logs show I am in fact peaking at 21 as expected.

I need to take it apart and investigate at some point but am led to believe it may be due to the restrictive nylon line I have used to come out of the back of the gauge which then sleeves tightly into a 3mm vac hose.

From memory, I think it's block 115 you can log for requested boost and actual boost which will show you exactly what the car is boosting.

do you have a forge dump valve? i just noticed they have different springs for different pressures, maybe you need the next spring up if you still have the standard spring, or indeed a forge dump valve!

I have a Forge 007P with the standard spring - I can't really see how it's this when the ECU tells me I am boosting correctly - the gauge just doesn't show it

sorry to thread jump, but its similar to what i want to ask, i have plumbed my boost guage in the other day and i was just wanting to check with others weather you think my car is mapped or not as its boost peaking just under 1bar and then leans off to just over 0.5bar (guage only reads .bar not psi) how much psi is it to 1bar?

fitted my auto gauge yesterday in to the green nipple on the vacuum pipe just wanting to see what i was boosting at after revo stg 1 remap and i was peaking around 20 - 21 then holding around 18 -19

can feel bit of lag when changing from 1st into 2nd but when it does kick in fasten your seat belts it picks up awsome

on RR the weekend so see how it holds then

the guage is wired to a boost sensor which is mounted under my dash and that is connected to a plastic Tpiece from a clear breather, not sure what a no buzz t peice is???

Ah, sounds like your gauge is electrical then - which ought to be accurate. Mine is mechanical

A no-buzz t piece is one of these: http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=6778

Eliminates eractic needle movement and buzzing that you sometimes get through the gauge when connected to the brake servo line. Mine is an earlier version of this t-piece and I'm wondering if it's related
