I want to know all differences between the 2.0tfsi engines. A lot of people think the BWJ (230/240hp) and BHZ (265hp) are the same, but actually there are some differences.

I came up with the following different items in ETKA:

BWA (200pk)
BWJ (240pk)
BHZ & BZC (265pk & 256pk)

Cylinder head:
BWA - 06D 103 351 D
BWJ - 06F 103 351 F
BHZ - 06F 103 351 F

Connection Rod:
BWA - 06D 198 401 C
BWJ - 06D 198 401 C
BHZ - 06D 198 401 C

Crankshaft:
BWA - 06A 105 021 S
BWJ - 06A 105 021 AR
BHZ - 06A 105 021 AR

Piston:
BWA - 06D 107 066 C
BWJ - 06D 107 066 K
BHZ - 06D 107 066 K

Camshaft intake:
BWA - 06F 109 101 B
BWJ - 06F 109 101 G
BHZ - 06F 109 101 G

Camshaft Exhaust:
BWA - 06F 109 102 B
BWJ - 06F 109 102 D
BHZ - 06F 109 102 D

Airbox:
BWA - 06F 133 837 AA
BWJ - 06F 133 837 AD
BHZ - 06F 133 837 AC

Air filter:
BWA - 06F 133 843 A
BWJ - 06F 133 843 B
BHZ - 06F 133 843 B

Intake Air duct:
BWA - 06F 129 627 F
BWJ - 06F 129 627 H
BHZ - 06F 129 627 H

Injector:
BWA - 06F 906 036 A
BWJ - 06F 906 036 A
BHZ - 06F 906 036 F

Turbo and manifold:
BWA - 06F 145 701 C
BWJ - 06F 145 701 E
BHZ - 06F 145 702 C

Spark plug:
BWA - b101 905 631 B
BWJ - b101 905 631 B
BHZ - b101 905 631 C

Crankshaft Shells are the same
Valves are the same
Airflow meter is the same
Inlet manifold is the same
Clutch is the same

Does anyone know the real differences between the turbo's that are used? As I've heared I understood the 200hp uses a KKK K03 and the 265hp uses a twin scroll turbo.

There may be a couple of discrepancies there.
To my knowledge the conrods and injectors are not the same on both the 200ps and 240ps varients

There are a lot of discrepancies there... sorry but in italy i work for audi vw seat skoda.. and you write wrong.

1) Connection rods are bhz-bwj-bzc-byd 06f 198 401 and bwa 06f198 401C for bwa
2) injectors bhz-bwj-byd-bzc are 06F 906 036 F and bwa 06F 906 036 A
3) intercooler for bwa-axx-byd-bwj are 1K0 145 803 A for bhz bzc is 1K0 145 803 P
4) turbo charger bwa-axx is >06F 145 701 c-g for bhz bzc byd bwj 06F 145 702 C
5) crankshaft is the same for all engine bwa 200hp,byd 230 hp, 240 bwj, 265-272 bhz bzc.
6) divert valve pop off are different from bwa and all other 230-240-265-272hp
7)crankcasa are different bwa is 06F 103 011 F byd-bwj-bhz-bzc is 06F 103 011 K

and other little items... the rest is OK

Interesting. I agree with the correction immediately above except for the claim that the S3 BHZ turbo charger is the same as the Cupra BWJ turbo

The Seat Cupra Cup cars use the S3 turbo rather than the Cupra turbo.....

Well I disagree with you in some parts. I also use the original VW Audi software (Etka). Look at the numbers in the figures!!

i don't know why?

I have audi s3 engine manual with reference to audi code... date 22/09/2007. report that.

For the turbocharger i'm sure that the cupra-30 edit have KKK04 and code is 702C but i don't know why check the turbo charger code of 30 edition golf

The Seat Cupra Cup cars use the S3 turbo rather than the Cupra turbo.....

Yes the turbochargers have different part numbers between Cupra/Ed30 versus S3, but in terms of flow characteristics they can produce the same horsepower. Possibly, a silencer more in one (e.g the S3) may be responsible for that difference...:)

OK. The Golf 30 edition is engine code BYD.. That's strange. You are right, the BYD 230BHP engine has a 702C.. so if the program is rigth, would that mean a Golf GTI 30 edition is more lika an S3 engine as the Cupra engine???

Because the mounting bracket of the turbo, and the water tubes from the turbo, of a Leon FR and Leon Cupra are the same!! But the brackets from a Golf 30 edition and S3 are different.

They don't for sure...! Why then the BWA engines when they do a K04 conversion use bigger injectors (from S3 or Cupra)... There must be a misstyping at that point in the ETKA...:rolleyes:

They sure use the injector from an Audi S3.. but that's the point I think. They are not the same ones as from a Cupra as you can see in Etka.

Is there anyoner here that ordered those injectors when they had done the K04 conversion? Could they please look up the part numbres they have ordered?

My ETKA version is updated till the end of 2007 (version 622 for AUDI and VW, version 151 for SEAT). Maybe that is the problem.. that I'm working with an old ETKA

The injectors on the CUPRA are deffinately the same as on the S3. I got a quote for some recently and the part number was the same as S3 injectors. Its funny though because it was on this forum and he originally quoted the same number as FR injectors. Someone else corrected him on the thread and he aggreed and ammended the part numbers.

Any more confirmation available for these parts out of interest?

The easiest way to check the differences (if there is any) between parts is just comparing part numbers...

Example. K03 (FR Leon) and K04 (Leon Cupra) turbos. These turbos using the same down pipe, (same part numbers) so the exhaust manifold outlet is the same.

Call to dealer and ask ;)

from Seat press pack: said:
Compared with Leon FR’s 200 PS engine, on which the Cupra’s is based, 240 PS version is substantially modified. Features a new ECU (Electronic Control Unit), larger turbocharger, reinforced pistons and engine block, strengthened connecting rods, a new ultra heat-resistant alloy for the cylinder head, plus larger injectors....

I would guess that Cupra rods are 100% identical to Audi S3 :)
