Nitrous would be your only option on that budget for north of 300bhp, JBS do progressive kits

Otherwise 270 to 280bhp is about the ceiling without budgeting circa £3k IMO for a half decent Big turbo conversion. Your £1k budget is too small to do Big Turbo properly e.g exhaust, downpipe, FMIC, turbo, manifold etc etc

You could spend the £1k on suspension mod's so it goes round corners

go cheap....and watch you engine blow

there is not a turbo conversion out there that can be done proffessionally for under 1k, it aint gunna happen fella

if you have 1k, invest it in some ARB's and coilovers and save for a decent turbo conversion

anyone who informs you that you can do a turbo conversion for under 1k is either mad or just plain stupid

take it from one who has done the k03s conversion and a gt2x conversion on an Ibiza and a Leon, and is about to step into the realm of proper big turbo territory, which is easily 4k+

ok guys thanks for help. What about backdraft hybrid are they ok. I am after arb's an was thinkin of s3 strut. They any good. Thanks for help

BDMS hybrid turbo will be fine mate

ARB's are by far one of the best mods you can do

I run the Neuspeed 25mm front ARB and Neuspeed 28mm rear ARB, the best mod I have done to date

i.m sure i read backdraft turbo is about 1200 an read thats good for 320 is this correct? I will get arb are easy to fit.

I doubt you will get 320 by just doing the turbo

you will also need bigger downpipe, race cat, FMIC, induction kit and of course remap

again 3k at least

Nitrous is a serious option, worked well for M1tchy

IIRC circa 340bhp and around 400Lbsft

It's not for evreyone though

on a standard head and turbo?

how well does it work and what cause does it have to the longevity to the engine/turbo out of interest?

Yep.

Worked well enough, as long as whoever was driving it didn't bring it in too early...

Think m1tchy drove 30k+ miles with Revo remap and Nitrous.

No issues AFAIK not even the clutch, plenty of threads on it.

JBS progressive Nitrous injector is a good bit of kit though

excellent:)

Nitrous is great if set up correctly. Power only lasts as long as the bottle though! Heard one story which makes me think having the bottle in the boot isnt the best place for it. Many myths about it around to get through before you get down to the core facts aswell.

ran nitrous on my TT for five years with very good results! made 350bhp/409ftlbs with a ko4+75shot.Also made 415bhp/398ftlbs with ihi turbo+50shot.Melted 2 plugs and 2 valves which went out through the turbo back in April so i took it off!Turned out there were a few issues with the engine especially the cylinder head that could of caused it but i didn't want to risk it anymore but boy does it work well[B)]
