rear windows steaming up

hi

this is only a minor issue really, i have a mk3 seat ibiza and i find the rear windows steam/fog up a lot, its mainly the sides that are annnoying me cos the rear window itself clears with the heating element thing.
all i have in the boot is a cd changer and a spare petrol can.

i'm wondering why its happening, and if this could this cause any problems with damp or anything like that?

any help would be great!

It's just the weather bud, getting hot/cold etc. My bet is every1's is doing the same unless it's garaged up. Could be moisture as my old 1.4 is sitting on the lawn and had MAJOR condensation in the inside yesterday, keep an eye on it make sure it doesn't start smelling damp!

Ok main reason for a window fogging up is because it greasy/dirty.
Give it a good clean and you'll notice it will fog up a lot less, plus clear up much quicker as soon as heater is turned on.

As for your question Razor, yes they do have washer fluid jets for the rear. However quite a few of you with the Mk3's take off the wiper and thus also the feed of fluid to the back. Others have even had leaks in their boot of washer fluid

Yeah they do have rear washer. The same stalk you pull towards yourself to squirt the front, push away from you to do the back window. Have a look to make sure it's not bunged up or the tube feeding the water hasn't come away. The squirter is in the wiper arm.

theres a good little mod you can to your rear wiper some one decided to do it 2 mine the little pin it that sprays the water on to the window remove that then you can spray the cars behind you who are that bit to close works well

works well on ya mates as well nothing winds them up more iv also herd of a lad tha removed the rear wiper and moved the pipe to around the headlight so instead of firing on to the windscreen you get the people at the crossing in front of ya

i had this....some chimp in a white 1.1 micra...totally standard with bright green neons underneath..i thought it was such a gay car that i'd pull up behind him and try to get him to floor it....first car ive been pissed all over by..lol

Right Ive Tried This Today
Still No Success.
Does The Feed From The Front Jets Run To The Rear ?

Its Seems As If When I Try, Theres Power Trying To Send Out Fluid But There Is None to !!

Also Where Is The Actual Jet Located ?
On The Centre Of The Wiper ?

yea its loacated in the centre of the wiper u could have a blockage if you take the cap off you'll see the pin that aim the water try pushing a pin down it and then try it also feel in the boot and see if anythings wet

You will have to take off the boot plastic and see if the pipe is connected up. 99% sure it won't be.
