Milltek back box failed on my Leon :(

I have had my faultless Milltek fitted for 1-1/2 years without fault but last week it decided to snap the welded joint where the pipe goes into the rear of the back box from the axle pipe section.

I am dissapointed to say the least, has anybody else had problems like this? Also what is there warranty like? I can't find anywhere that says about it on there website........

I always thought that there was a life time warranty.
For the price you would expect very good service from them, I'm sure you'll soon find out.

I will try and ring them monday, i am thinking been as it has broken i fancy something louder, the question is do the Piper cat backs fit to my milltek high flow down pipe???

I have been looking about and it would seem they do offer a lifetime warranty, although i still need to ring them and see if this is covered. One good thing is that i bought it through Awesome so I shouldn't have a problem with customer service.

If youy get a new replacement you could sell it and buy a Piper one

Awesome have despatched a new one today, they got a credit from Milltek so the warranty really does exist!

i bought it through Awesome so I shouldn't have a problem with customer service.

before i get flamed for bigging up Awesome- just wanted to say it's getting freaking hard to get decent good honest service nowadays so credit where it's due to both them and Miltek

Any issues , please feel free to give us a shout back
Milltek are "Awesome" if there is any issues with warranty
If you want a bit more noise , may be worth doing the non resonated section , to give it a bit more burble

Hi Sarah, Big thanks to *AwesomeAndy* New back box arrived F.O.C yesterday. You should be paying me by now, bigging you lot up once again!!

Funny you should mention the non res section, you must have seen my paperwork, that's exactly what i ordered with the back box while i was at it! Ever since i fitted the Milltek i wished it was a little louder but never wanted to turn my car into a chavvy loud thing if you see what i mean. Anyway i will see what this non res section is like in comparison and let you know, also the original system took a lot of running in to sound nice, when i first fitted the resonated system it was almost quieter than the OE stuff.

Just for other peoples reference they didn't just hand over a new box!!! Incase Awesome get floods of calls claiming 'my exhaust has fallen off' I provided pictures over email which were passed on to Milltek and we went from there, on this occasion my back box is not needed and they don't want it back.

Happy Customer Here, my only small niggle was the attempted charge of carriage I work in internet sales and i know exactly what it's like hence you won't fool me on that one! Well done guys.

Hi Sarah,

I have now had it all fitted this morning, the non res centre section is definately worth while if you want it a little louder, mine pops and splutters a little coming down through the revs now which is something it never did before!

Also the non res centre section sounds nice but its not at all 'to much' so all in all i am glad i bought it.
