ABS light and TCS light have come on

On way to work to day the ABS and traction controle light have come on could someone plz give me a idea of what the problem could be and how much £££ i am looking at as it is all i need this close to Xmass

sounds like an abs sensor, could just be a dirty one, get vag-com on it, and this will tell you which one is buggered

the breaks locked up yestday wen i went to slow down for a corner was not breaking hard and this was a day before the ABS and traction lights had come on could that still be a dirty sensor

cus where did you get the new wires from to get rid of this problem? i called seat and they said they dont sell it would have to be full loom ? It has oxidised the cable up from water i have cut i solderd a new one in and put new abs sensor and not fixed it ? many thanks

i managed to find some in my garage which was the same size, or slightly bigger then the current wiring. if its too small i guess it'll affect the signal.

covered it in electricians tape and not had the problem since. did both front sides of my car :)

when i turn off my traction control when the wheels spin abit the abs light cums on the a red light beeps at me and flash's any one every had this problem?

i had this and the wire wore enough for metal to touch the wire, send abs mental when you brake!

and also the flashing brake light was brake fluid low when i used to bean it round corners

would the lights come on if the pads was low?

take it the sensors are located near the caliper?

oh and if the cable torn through rubbing i priced it up a dealers it £50 for new cable and £20 for them to fit it! i thought minds well price it up why it was in for its recall!

brake servo pipe recall by any chance?

think pads are low but as im sellin the car dont wanna b forkin out money for no reason

I've just ordered one off GSF and it's only 14.75+VAT. I've been quoted £38 to fit it as I've had a look and a play and I think it's a bit beyond me. :redface:
