Well folks I paid the deposit on the new car tonight... went and had a look at the car and done all the usual checks to make sure it's all genuine then took it a drive. The car drives like a dream and has been very well looked after so it was really a no brainer.

The car? It's an 04 VW Passat 1.9 TDI SE 130 (With average miles and service history which is rare!) ... It's a very strange gold colour with a cream and black interior - has every toy you could need and more. Will make a big difference to my every day use for the next couple of years. :)

I'll pick the new car up when the old one goes. :)

Sent a mail off to one of my friends about the VAG-COM problem mate, I'll give you a call when he gets back to me on what to try next.

Got a bargain on the Passat! ;)

Good to hear you got yourself a Passat mate - I remember you talking about it many moons ago when you done the steering on my Ibiza with the VAG-COM.

Whats happening with your plate - selling it on the Ibiza?

I've put the reg onto retention at the moment, going to keep it and put it onto another Seat when I get round to buying one ... Would love a MK2 Leon FR TDI but can't afford one at the moment... and the Exeo looks good too!

It's like driving a couch!

Basically in a nutshell it's a much much better car than the Ibiza, unfortunately it does lot look the part and although it's still a PD130 it doesen't give the same "Wow" when you put the foot down.

The interesting part is, it's a year younger than what my Ibiza was and has less miles ... It's not my favourite colour but I won't complain considering I got it very cheap. :)

That's on retention at the moment, and will be until I can afford to buy a new Leon or get a second car for my girlfriend. (Would be a MK4 Ibiza no doubt, she loved it.)
