Ive had the air temp read --.- since Ive bought the beeza, so Ive just put a new sensor in and its still reading --.- (its plugged in the the door trim still off)

Should it start reading straight away?

If not, what else could it be?

I would not think that you would see much as the sensor is a PRT100 (I think). Compare the new and old sensor resistances bearing in mind that if its a PRT100 then it will be 100 ohms at 0C so above that should read a bit more. One thing though, I've heard say that the display changes quite slowly - its slew rate is damped so that it will only respond to expected changes in temperature, so if the original one was u/s and this new one is okay, then I would expect after a day or so it would be reading okay. I've just remembered that my daughter phoned me after a Seat garage had replaced her one but it was not reading correctly "right away" - I advised her not to drive back to the garage right away and just see if it "improved" with time - and it did - for the reasons that I've given.

That's what I would expect, plus going back to the OP's question, there is only one type fitted to these cars, so if you have bought the right part from Seat then it should be the correct. If the car has "sat" with the ignition off then nothing will have happened.

I drove it for about 30-45mins yesterday, then to work and back (only 3mins). Might have to go for another drive now then

Still no change today, well till about 11am when I unplugged it as it was getting in the way of putting the window up.

Any ideas?
