Hi all this is my pride and joy, bought it about 3 months ago and before had a MK2 Fiat Punto 1.2, bit of a jump and its a hell of a car, always gets good remarks

The week i bought her

accept for having standard wheels

DSC00182.jpg

When i bought her she had
forge split R
some sort of remap (think stage 2 hits bout 1.4Bar boost) :D
longlife cat back exhaust
Cupra R style gauges for boost and oil pressure
bonnet lifters
samco red hose kit

Tires were on the legal limit on the front so got a set of Dots for her

Then ended up a week later in Devon car show where i met Myki

DSC00195.jpg

to his recomendation I got Forge TIP and some new vac hose, also a jetex cone filter

Also took a quick little vid other night, sounds nice in it

What you guys recon about the universal intercoolers on ebay? most people seem very happy with them, cant afford a forge although it would be nice, also car is running about 1.4 bar of boost, my local performance garage reccomended getting a intercooler, which i am, but said i should get the fueling looked at as it is littely to be underfueling??

any advice on what to check, and what to upgrade to make sure it dont go bang running 1.4 bar of boost, i have VAG.com if that will help

Cheers

well i followed a thread guide on here on how to do the N249 bypass thingy(getting rid of all the crap ontop of engine), and there was a pipe going down to the actuator from all the crap ontop of the engine that the guide said wasnt needed and just to block it off, most people on here have done it so i hope its ok lol

Cheers Myki yea its starting to get there lol

Dan - unplug the N249 and the other one, N112? or something like that, anyway, unplug both of them, then cut the plugs off the wires, get yourself 2x 330ohm 10watt resistors from somewhere like maplins electronics (bought £1 each), they recommend 10watt, but my maplins only did 3 watt in that ohmage and they work fine, the wattage shouldnt matter anyway. solder the resitors across the wires of each plug so it makes the ecu think the valve is still there

Job done lol

mate you're really cracking on the car. Looks good. Still looks kinda pink in the pictures but sure its down to the camera.

Question, looks like you have the splitR DV in the pic, and I heard that it sounds absolutely shite when relocating it. I also have the SplitR and want to relocate it, but not if it sounds worse...

so how does it sound? (don't have sound with vids at work, and vids never really portray sound properly)

cheers

Reuvers - I heard that about it sounding shite when relocated, so i was going to do the relocation then get a turbosmart, but im happy with it, after doing the N249 and N112 bypass, and the cold side relocation it was much louder and smoother, proberly not as loud as a turbosmart but it did get louder, it proberly depends on the boost ur running to, mines on about 1.4bar and gives nice sound. yea think its still crappy camera making it look pinky cos some of the red hoses look pink and they r bright red!

steni540 - yea it is a we bit small lol, but its got a bhp rating of 230, i thought it was the biggest one jetex do in a cone filter, not sure now tho lol
as for the AP coilovers, fantastic quality for the price, easy to adjust and fit, took about 2 hours to fit all 4 but little while to get it sitting at right height, and the ride is great, not massivly smooth but ive been in alot worse, and nobody has complained yet!
