Want to fit my TomTom 720T.

Loking to hardwire.

There seems to be two places for fuses in the Leon (I have an 05/55 2.0tdi sport). In the egine bay and a lower panel to the right of the steering weel. When I open the panel all I can see are relays and sockets for other relays that are not fitted, no fuses

I do not want to start removoving radios etc so where can I get a switch or non switched power supply?

Also thinking about the Brodit fitting, the one that fits next to the radio. Does anyone have any photos as it looks like it may foul on the radio butons.

Brodit TomTom

Hi there, I am searching for some photographs of my TomTom one with the Brodit mount and it doesn't foul the buttons. It ever so slightly covers the top left hand button, "1", by a few mm's. But as it is mounted slightly to the left that is all.

I will be selling the mount if you are interested, £10 inc postage (but not including the TomTom bracket), as I have just got a leather console to replace it.

The holder itself does not get in the way but as you can see from the pics, the tomtom does cover it slightly although there is enough room to put your finger behind anyway so not a problem in my opininon. One of the best purchases I've made.

Will take it and PM you :)

Whats the leather console?

What item number do you use to mount the tomtom to it?

I wired my Pogo in as per the information on this thread: http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36253

Can also confirm that the Tom Tom mount doesn't foul the radio (I used to have one before I got my MFD3)

Mine isn't wired in, I just used the cigarette lighter. But the way I'd do it is to buy a spare 12v cable and chop the end off. When you fit the mount you will see that it tends to bend the radio cover out (doesn't damage it), I'd pass the wire through that gap and take the power from the radio, seem like a lot of fuss to wire it all the way to the fuse box. If you do decide to do it the long (proper) way round, this should be of some use to you:
