Hi people, I just thought I would ask the question to rack your brains...

I parked the old gal and she was fine, then when I come back to the car a hour later to drive away the steering had gone tight...you can go round bends without holding onto the steering wheel lol Ive checked the fluid levels and there fine, all I can see wrong is the of side rack boot is split.

What do you guys think could be wrong with it?

no mate the belt and pump are fine, its bloody frustrating! I had it tracked up a few weeks ago and i dont think the lad un twisted the rack gaitors and now one of them has split. I wouldnt have thought in that short space of time the rack would have gone faulty, would you?

It holds in position...Like you can set it to 3 oclock and leave it there, get out, and it would go round in circles on its own all day long! lol

Im getting really fed up with the car and ive not had the thing for longer than a month lol

Years of dubs and the first seat I try gives me loads of head aches lol

But when it's fixed. It will be the most exciting 5 minutes of your life :)

lol ive been thinkin that... until the next problem! haha:cry:

You know when you turn the steering wheel to go round a bend, if you was to let go of the wheel half way round the bend the car would instantly go straight on... Mine doesnt, the steering wheel stays in the same position you left it, you get me mate?

Ive fixed it! :funk:

Ive been and bought a pair of new steering rack gaitors, greased the rack and fitted the gaitor which was split and no more stupid steering... lol

Only thing that anoyed me was when I was tracking it up I noticed the passenger side gaitor was split! doh...

Good job they sold me a pair hey? I just need to do the same on the passenger side...

Im happy with it again now... [B)]

But for how long.......? :headhurt:
