MK 4 Mirrors - Should they fold?

Not all cars mirrors fold, we had a 2001 Vectra SRi and the mirrors were kinda moulded on the doors follwing a line from the bonnet. The drivers side got smacked whilst parked and fell off in one huge piece

all ibizas mk4 have folding mirrors they just normally seize up

mine are electrical folding, was told this was an extra on it... mine is a sportrider

anyway to make them unseize?

lots of wd40 is how i unseized them on my 1.2 took ages to get them working though

I got to know what makes do not fold when I worked in a block park the cars are parked so close and I had to make a path to walk down so folded mirrors in but had to be careful in case they were only electric folding (most electric ones are manual too it seems) or that they even folded in the first place!
