1. What turbo is it? Golf Petrol not diesel as in the add
2. Where was the remap done? By Fontain - goes from 156 to 206 bhp
3. Exhaust - supersprint from the manifoldt)
4. What filter in the box? Standard
5. Dump valve? Standard
6. Owners = 3inc him
7. Part service history

Sounds ok .....

Insurance is £800 tpft im 21 with 3 yrs no claims[/QUOTE

that will produce around 200-210 max with current mods i think, with the part service history, 3 owners id offer him £4200 and see what happens! plus how long is the MOT and tax?

Have you tried Adrain Flux I am 22 with 4yrs no claims and I am paying just shy of £700 fully comp all mods declared including the exhaust, remap, alloys, dumpvalve and air filter. And I think thats a pretty good deal. Plus that is with parking it on a public road when I now park it in a garage fulltime so should be even lower when I tell them that. Car looks nice though.

I think that this car was at No Rice this month, if so it looked as though the bonnet had been sprayed, and not turned out too well as the colour match was rather bad, also the spoiler looked to be in the same condition.

Personally i would stay clear as im a picky git when it come to paint! :p

would say this ones much better value
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/775975.htm

all depends on distance from you though

Now another special advert...he has a Forge 077 DV fitted...never hear of that ;)

You would really think people would put a little more time in trying to sell their car for quite a bit of money. But maybe thats just me...

Ok you could say a typo...but imagine you did that with the HP's (ie instead of 230 you write 320) or with tax..instead of 2 months 5 or something...

advice for all, take your time to write your advert!

DPJ - Post deleted. Hum... It seems some mods on here take their "job" a little too seriously.

Of course, I can see how my posts might be misconstrued, but to reinforce, I did say that we weren't looking to sell and that I was basically letting him know that we'd let our higher spec, lower mileage car go for the kind of money he is paying. I was helping and not whoring.

If I was in a rush to sell, I'd put it on PH and on the For Sale section on here.

Thanks.

£4500 for an 8yr old car with average mileage is a lot.

I think there's better value cars out there.

Your post was an offer to sell in a thread that is discussing whether another car is worth it's sale price.

You said "you could buy my girlfriend's for that price' and went on to describe it.

You, my friend, were in breach of SCN rules and you will gain nothing by making clever remarks about moderation.

These car value threads are 'tolerated' but posts such as yours will make them unwelcome in the long term.
