Update:

Been told our car is on its way over now. Its on the boat but it will be a MINIMUM of 2 weeks once it hits dry land here in the UK. This is due to a lot of drivers they've gotten rid of and wont deliver a car unless they've got a full lorry load of them.

Thats stupid.
Can i not just go and pick up the car from the docks myself?
Im tempted to phone him up and tell him to stick his car as its lost probably about 2k already since ordering it back at the beginning of September.

Had a first sit in a SC the other day when the Leon was in having some work done. Quite impressed by it, but the lack of an FR and Cupra diesel will be putting me off I think.

lol its just takes time to make the car thats all, just think, its fresh as can be lol :p

But i was told it was finished being built about 2 weeks ago. Its shocking the slowness of it all even after the car is ready. It should be:

Car built, leaves factory on the way to the harbour, same day boards boat. Few hours to get over. Next day on the lorry and delivered to dealer. Dealer receives car and does registration/checks. Next day ready for pick up. Job done.

Tell you what, if Carlsburg made a car........;)

Just thought fill u in. Finally, after waiting for 4 months, collected our Ibiza yesterday!!!! Looks really nice in the yellow and drives well!! Dealership confirmed that delay not due to colour but due to the 1.6model and the level of demand!!!

Already had people making comments about how nice the car looks!

Had a call from the dealer to confirm he received the fax stating the car will be delivered tomorrow (nonday) and we can pick it up saturday after we give them the insurance details for the tax.
Yay!

I'm gonna stop moaning now...

Saw the car this afternoon and done a once over. It was in pre-wax stage but was looking very nice all the same. Couldn't try any of the optional extras because the car was still in 'transport mode' but it had everything there.

We'll be picking her up on Saturday at 10am. The lady will be going shopping so i'll be free to take it somewhere nice and grab some of its first pics. I'll stick them up as soon as i can! :D

Juusi0, nice spec there mate. Keep us updated on how it goes.

Anyway, we picked her up this morning. I was grinning like a chesire cat all the way home.
After fiddling with the optional extras we found that the iPod/USB connection (which was an extra cost) will not work straight out-of-the-box. We were failed to be told that we need an ADDITIONAL adapto/cable which costs a further £63.62 and can only be bought from SEAT. We've just found this out ourselves. We're having to a standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack using the auxilary port atm. I will be having words tomorrow...

Also, for those who have ordered the TomTom cradle make sure they throw in the adaptor for that too. Ours didnt have it in and when trying to mate it with the TomTom one v3 there was no way it would fit. This, we were told afterwards would be an extra £25. We refused payment and they decided to chuck it in for nothing. Too right they should!!!
Bare this in mind if you ordered that feature.

Apart from that, we've had loads of fun playing with the speech recognition on the bluetooth side. The car is fantasticly smooth, quiet and very agile to drive. The steering is sublime and the xenons are to die for!

I've taken some pictures as a teaser and will be putting them up tomorrow. In the meantime im going to try and get some better ones with more detail.

Hi,
looks very nice, mine should be here in a couple of weeks, they have stooped making that dashboard know, apparently it was only the first 500 with that one, all the others will be all black.

The cream/white dash is only available with the 'sports pack' mate. Hence why mine has one.

Just i just point something very important out please folks...READ CAREFULLY if you have ordered the iPod/USB connection.

The iPod will NOT work when plugged into the optional connection fitted. It will need an additional cable that can only be bought from Seat themselves and will set you back a further £63.62. We found out the hard way about this. So, my fiancee kicked up a storm and told them that it does NOT mention this in the catalogue nor were we told about it. Since then they have decided to order the cable for us and supply it free of charge. It has actually gone to Head Office now and Seat may have to re-write the extras list with this mentioned.

Please do tell them as soon as possible if you have ordered the iPod/USB connection. You should not have to pay extra for the needed cable.

We tried both the standard iPod 80GB video and an iPod Touch with 3 different cables to be sure.

Hi.
My local Seat dealer said they are now stopping any with the cream/black dash as Seat realised it had made a mistake and the cream marks very easily. I sat in a SE model in the showroom and that had a cream/black dash.

Hmm. I thought it was part of the sport pack and was labeled as the 'aternative dash'. Oh well
