It recommended that you use a higher octane fuel as the ECU's on High Performance Cars are usually programmed to run on it.
I also use BP Ultimate with mine.
By the way I see your from the North East. Did you get your Cupra from Arnold Clark's on Scotswood Road?
I bought mine there last December and it was also an Ex-Demo. I've done only 5000 miles since then and mine hasn't used much oil. It's going in for a service next week.

Super Unleaded (98 RON) or above is recommended but it will run on 95 RON although you may experience slight loss of economy or power. BTW 98RON is generally only Shell V-Power and Tescos Super Unleaded (although I think Tesco may do 2 grades of Super).
My oil was on the minimum when I checked it at 4K but seemed okay after that. I would keep an eye on it and see how you get on. A top up bottle is about £15.00.

Bridge Cars in Sunderland. I've had my last 4 or so from the same guy and he gives me a good deal.

Mine did use oil now on 6k and just had first service. I would buy some oil and check regular. Would also use super unleaded.

Ran mine on Tesco Super 99ron since I got it. Its only 97p a litre just now too. 
I topped my oil up after about 4k miles, but wasn't much needed. Still cost me £15 for a litre of oil though!!

not that i could tell to be honest, but definitely a difference over standard 95 ron. especially with a revo map
Revo Kev ran his car hooked up to VAG COM using loads of different fuels for a long period of time and became obsessed with finding the best fuel.
He told me that V power was best and most consistent over different tank fulls from different forecourts, Then Ultimate as the second best. Tesco do a 99 but it wasnt as good for some reason?
95 will work but its a chip shop diet for your car, it depends if its a mode of transport to you or your pride and joy. Cost versus quality like everything else.

Interesting, mine was Revo mapped on tesco 99 at 600mls and i've run it ever since on 6k now. Might try V power see if there is any difference.

One other quick question - the lights have a blue tinge and seem to adjust themselves when I switch them on. Does this mean I have bi-xenons?
I only ask as I didnt specify these so it would be a bonus if they are...

If it was brand new Xenons are an option nowadays, you can tell by looking at two things.
Xenons will have headlamp washers and also there will be no adjuster wheel, which I think is normally next to the dash brightness adjuster to the left of the dial to switch the lights on and off.
Cheers for the quick reply - it was ex-demo but registered June 2008. It has the washers and *no* adjuster.
I'm defo taking it as a bonus - when I bought the car, they wrote down the list price £19k and something (which didnt include xenons) and then discounted down to £16.4k because it was a demonstrator.
